Rowland Formulas Ultragest 100 Tablets

Ultragest's hydrochloric acid content improves digestion in the stomach. Its bile content emulsifies fats so that lipase enzymes can go to work on them (a must for those with no gallbladder). Hydrochloric acid and bile also destroy gastrointestinal parasites. Pancreatin provides protease, lipase and amylase enzymes - to break down proteins, fats and starches. Papain and Bromelain are vegetable enzymes (from raw papaya and pineapple) that help break down proteins. Peppermint soothes the digestive tract and reduces flatulence.

Directions: 1 to 4 tablets per meal, depending on its content of protein and/or fat, and how weak the person’s digestion is (usually a function of age). Take Ultragest immediately after a meal.

Ingredients (contained in each tablet): Betaine Hydrochloride 88 mg; Pepsin 1:10,000 188 mg; Pancreatin 8X 27.5 mg; Bile 88 mg; Papain 12M 122 mg; Bromelain 44 mg; Peppermint leaf 66 mg; Providing 1,200,000 USP units of Protease activity; 5,400 USP units of Amylase activity; and 1,100 USP units of Lipase activity.
