- Knee Roll Build w/ Single-break Outer Roll: Vaughn's Velocity pads take the ice with a more traditional, knee roll face and dense, yet flexible single-break outer roll.

- Wide, Recessed Knee Cradle: Compared to the previous V10 pads, the VX1 pads are built to rotate more freely around the knees with a recessed knee cradle and streamlined knee stack padding.

- Easily-adjustable Calf Strapping: Vaughn's VX1 Junior leg pads secure across the calves and behind the knee with easily-adjustable Velcro® strapping.
- Bungee Toe Ties w/ Clips: Compared to traditional skate lace toe ties, bungee toe ties allow for a greater range of motion in the goalie's ankle while keeping the pad properly anchored.
